All maps in the ForestMonitor are cloudless and snowless. The automatic processing made by the Artificial Intelligence analyzes all map tiles and ensures that they are fully clear and perfectly visible. It’s an advanced system that makes forest maps better than ever.
ForestMonitor constantly receives new maps from satellites. All maps in most of the world are no more than three months old. Some maps can be very recent, only one or two days old. This means that you can have the most accurate information possible.
The maps in ForestMonitor are pre-processed using AI and ML models. There is a constant detection and optical correction running to produce the best quality of maps. Machine Learning is automatically improving the quality of maps as well builds a foundation for future development of the map service.
ForestMonitor is the easiest way to get recent satellite maps of forests. We have created an easy map drawing tool that lets you specify any area you want. Alternatively you can upload your own Area of Interest (AOI) and get instant results for that. The ordering process takes only several minutes and images are delivered by email once the payment has been received. It’s very simple.
All maps in ForestMonitor service are timestamped to prove the exact date the photo was taken. The dates are placed directly on every tile in the map and provides a transparent view on the forest. Optionally, the date can be put at the bottom of the map, should a client make such a request.
ForestMonitor uses a variety of satellites to create the maps in the service. The key function of the service is Fusion Map, which combines different satellite and remote sensing sources to combine the best possible image for every zoom level.
Standard resolution of maps in ForestMonitor is 10 m x 10 m. This is the most common resolution for forest analysis and is used worldwide. If there is a need for more detailed maps, we can also provide 5 m, 3 m, 1,5 m and 50 cm resolutions. These maps can be order by contacting us.
ForestMonitor maps can be used in many other ways besides just to report loggings. Forest companies around the world are using satellite technology to improve the way that forest are managed and grown. Our clients have used satellite maps to
